The work team :

The team behind this work is the environmentalists and nature lovers, Dr. Ahmad Houri and his wife Nisrine Machaka-Houri, who have been undertaking the study of Lebanese flora and biodiversity for over 12 years. In order to make this work available for plant lovers and scientists, they have documented the Lebanese wild plants in field guides and online databases. Their aim is to educate the public, promote the appreciation and protection of the natural resources in Lebanon.

Together, they have published the first Field Guide to Wildflowers of Lebanon in 2001 with 240 color photographs of different plants. In 2008, they published the second volume which has another 400 photographs of wild plants from Lebanon.
